Gram Per Watt Competition

Okay so I have finally got some pics and info on the setup ive been using for the GPW.
I have 6 x 5w "wilko" LED down lights in a 2"x 3" section of plasterboard suspended above 4" ((approx...) ( 2x3x4)).
The down lights are 345Lm @ 570mA with a 2700K . They are 12v at 50Hz .
There was originally 4 x 5w led and 2x "OSRAM, 50w, 2950k, & 680 Lm. However I didn't like the intensity on my eyes so I swapped them out for a set of 6 "Wilko".
The GPW is on day 18 of bloom at the moment and no major issues to report at this stage .
There are 4 in there at the moment one of which ( Blueberry cheese cake) is also a part of the " Female Seeds Grow battle contest" I am also taking part in over on icmag ...

I do have some pics and will post also I am waiting on a watt meter ( well funds for ).

I do not know why I am duplicating some of these pics . These are the GPW Ladies and I am still waiting on a watt meter.
They are on day 26 into flower today and are drinking hardly anything really .
Due to the fact that approx. 94% of the ladies are still in small pots I shall have some cute "bonsai" to jar up .

Apologies for not being on the forum as much as I could , I get quite frustrated with the tech issues , orientation and the issue with the typing on the tablet I prefer to use for the picture transferal .

Apart from that all pies are doing well considering .

This forum is a fucking joke, just like the shitty ass lights that hydrogrow peddles...
Do we have our next troll?

HI! And welcome!

Personally I like the fact that there are few people on here, and it seems like a tighter-knit "community". If you grow plants and have knowledge and would like to share some, cool!

We have several people (me included) that got free light to try from this hideous person... No requirements except to say thanks for the light. I have no clue how well they work, but have you used one? If you have please share some insight into what you have learned about the product

*(hint: "it sucks" doesn't provide much to go on)

@Kree73
Sorry to step on your thread ;)

I really do want insight on how my FREEEEEEE light works and what I can do to get better production out of it or any issues to be wary of :)

I'm not sure I can help . I am still learning myself . However I have found with the XB200 its does not get as hot as the Sodium and that means that the soil wont dry out as quick therefore longer periods between watering .
The height of the light is important for the penetration .
What is your FREEEEEEE light and are there issues with it working or was that a generalisation .
If the fan blows on the leaves too much or too powerfully as there is less heat under the LED units the leaves can get limp and loose the dark green .
Put them into Buckets or a BIG pot once they get to about 6 inch .
Any re-potting I always give them a drink and if I break off any branches purposefully or accidently ..... I give them food .
Hope this helps even just a little

I haven't seen any issues yet, but the temps are lower and drinking slower like you said.

I have noticed that they will almost stretch on request. I left the light for a few days and the plants grew to about 6" from the light then stopped. I raised the light to get a little better coverage and they did the same. I haven't had them grow dangerously close yet though.

As far as the competition goes, I haven't seen @HydroGrowLED around for a bit.

Oh I see …

Mine seem to sit just below the light source too .
When I have finished the Side By Side I will probably get rid of the Sodium .
With all light sources the inverse square rule implies for ever meter its squared and shared over the area . So although we can cover the same area the intensity is a sum of that squaring. Hence why the units are at optimum at a set height from canopy.
